Day-by-Day Itinerary
Designed for a balanced experience combining exploration, relaxation, nature, and local culture.
Day 1: Arrival in Socotra & Arher
Arrival at Socotra Airport followed by a journey along the northern coast toward Arher, where sand dunes, beaches, and the first night of camping await.
Welcome at Socotra Airport and introduction to the local team and guide.
Journey along the northern coast toward the eastern side of the island, passing villages, beaches, and natural landscapes.
Upon reaching Arher, there is time to enjoy the beach, relax, or climb the sand dunes for panoramic views.
The day ends with dinner and camping at Arher.
Day 2: Hoq Cave & Homhil
Explore Hoq Cave, then continue to Homhil to see dragon blood trees and reach the natural pool.
The day begins with a hike to Hoq Cave to explore its rock formations, stalactites, and stalagmites.
The journey then continues toward Homhil, where you can see dragon blood trees, frankincense trees, and other distinctive Socotran plants.
After lunch, a short 15–20 minute hike leads to the natural pool, where guests can relax and swim when conditions are suitable.
Day 3: Wadi Kalissan & Dihamri
Hike to Wadi Kalissan and its natural pools, then continue to Dihamri to enjoy the marine environment.
The journey continues through remote areas toward Wadi Kalissan.
After a hike of approximately 30 minutes, we reach natural freshwater pools and small waterfalls.
Guests can enjoy the water and explore the area when conditions are suitable.
In the afternoon, the journey continues to Dihamri Marine Protected Area, where guests can enjoy the marine environment, snorkel, and observe marine life.
Day 4: Dixam, Firmihin & Wadi Dirhur
Travel through Dixam Plateau and Firmihin Forest, surrounded by dragon blood trees, mountain landscapes, and dramatic valleys.
We leave the coast and head toward Dixam Plateau, one of Socotra's main areas for dragon blood trees.
We continue through Firmihin Forest, where dragon blood trees spread across the landscape in their distinctive forms.
The route then descends toward Wadi Dirhur through rocky terrain and valleys.
Day 5: Aomak, Dogub Cave & Zaheq Dunes
Reach the southern coast, explore Dogub Cave, then experience the white sand dunes of Zaheq.
The journey descends from the central highlands toward the southern coast and reaches Aomak and its white sandy beaches.
After lunch, the journey continues to Dogub Cave to explore its rock formations.
In the afternoon, we continue to Zaheq Sand Dunes, where guests can walk among the dunes, explore the area, take photographs, and enjoy the scenery.
Day 6: Detwah & Qalansiyah
Explore Detwah Lagoon and Qalansiyah, with time to relax and enjoy the beach and surrounding views.
We head west to Detwah Lagoon, known for its turquoise waters, white sands, and coastal landscapes.
We then visit Qalansiyah and experience the local life of the area.
In the afternoon, guests can swim in a suitable area or climb to a viewpoint overlooking Detwah.
Day 7: Shuab Beach Boat Trip
Boat trip from Qalansiyah Port to Shuab Beach, with opportunities to spot dolphins, swim, and enjoy the beach.
The day begins at Qalansiyah Port, followed by a boat journey along the western coast toward Shuab Beach.
There may be an opportunity to see dolphins during the trip.
At Shuab Beach, guests can swim and enjoy the beach when sea conditions are suitable.
The boat then returns to the port, followed by a return to the Detwah area for the remainder of the day.
Day 8: Departure
Early breakfast followed by the return journey to Socotra Airport for departure.
After an early breakfast, the journey back to Socotra Airport begins in preparation for departure.
This marks the end of the eight-day Socotra journey.
