Please read our Terms & Conditions carefully before booking. They explain how our tours, bookings, payments, and cancellations work.

Last updated: 23 September 2026

Welcome to Memorable Socotra Tours.

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website, booking requests, tours, and tourism services provided by the company.

By using the website, submitting a booking request, confirming a trip, or utilizing our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms, in addition to the Privacy Policy and any special conditions communicated to you at the time of booking.

1. About Memorable Socotra Tours

Memorable Socotra Tours is a company specializing in organizing and coordinating tourism experiences and trips on the island of Socotra.

Trip services may include, depending on the chosen program:

  • Ground transportation within Socotra.
  • Local guides.
  • Meals and water.
  • Camping and its equipment.
  • Activities and marine trips specified in the program.
  • Fees for certain protected areas.
  • Assistance with visa arrangements.
  • Assistance with flight arrangements when agreed upon.
  • Other services outlined in the trip details.

Some services may be executed through independent local providers, airlines, boat operators, guides, government entities, or other service providers.

2. Use of the Website

The website can be used to learn about Socotra, our services, programs, and to submit inquiries and booking requests.

The website must be used in a lawful manner and you must not attempt to:

  • Disrupt the website or its services.
  • Gain unauthorized access to our systems.
  • Misuse booking or contact forms.
  • Copy website content for commercial purposes without permission.

Website content, prices, and services may be updated from time to time.

3. Tours and Prices

Memorable Socotra Tours currently offers a main 8-day tourism program in Socotra.

The published price for the tour relates to the services outlined within the trip program, and does not include international flights or flights to Socotra unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Prices are determined in US Dollars unless otherwise agreed.

Prices may vary in the future due to changes in transportation costs, services, government fees, or supplier arrangements.

The final price provided to the traveler and agreed upon before trip confirmation is the binding price for the booking.

4. Booking Request and Confirmation

Booking requests can be submitted through:

  • The Booking & Contact form on the website.
  • Official email.
  • Official WhatsApp.

Submitting a request or filling out the booking form does not mean the trip is confirmed.

After receiving the request, the company will contact the traveler to review:

  • Requested travel dates.
  • Number of travelers.
  • Flight availability.
  • Visa arrangements when needed.
  • Program details.
  • Price.
  • Payment arrangements.
  • Any special requirements.

The booking is considered confirmed only after agreeing on the trip arrangements and the company explicitly confirming the booking.

5. Flights

Flights are not part of the tour price unless otherwise agreed.

Memorable Socotra Tours can assist the traveler in arranging flights based on available options at the time of travel.

When agreeing that the company will arrange the flight ticket, the traveler will be informed of the required amount and the agreed transfer method, after which the company will proceed with booking procedures subject to flight availability.

After ticket confirmation, the traveler will be informed of the flight details and schedule.

Flight tickets are subject to the terms of the airline and the entity that issued the ticket.

The company has no control over airline decisions regarding cancellation, delay, schedule changes, or rebooking.

6. Visa and Travel Documents

The company may assist the traveler with visa procedures or entry arrangements according to the procedures available at the time of travel.

The traveler is responsible for:

  • Holding a valid passport.
  • Providing accurate information.
  • Submitting required documents in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with travel and entry requirements.

The company does not guarantee visa issuance or entry permission when the decision lies with government entities or other competent authorities.

Visa fees, permits, or government services that have already been paid for or issued may be non-refundable.

7. Payment

The Memorable Socotra Tours website does not currently provide a direct electronic payment system for booking the tour.

Payment arrangements are made through direct communication with the company and as agreed with the traveler.

According to the current workflow, flight ticket costs are handled separately from the tour cost.

As for the tour cost itself, the method and timing of payment will be agreed upon before the trip.

Payment arrangements may differ in the future when dealing with travel companies, international partners, or agents, in which case the financial terms agreed upon with the concerned party shall apply.

8. Rescheduling a Trip by the Traveler

The traveler may request to change the trip date.

Approval of the change is subject to:

  • Flight availability.
  • Service availability.
  • Availability of guides, vehicles, and camps.
  • Costs already committed to.
  • Third-party conditions.
  • The feasibility of executing the program on the new date.

The date change is not effective until confirmed by the company.

Additional costs may apply when the date change incurs fees from airlines, suppliers, or other parties.

9. Trip Cancellation by the Traveler

Currently, Memorable Socotra Tours does not apply a fixed, uniform schedule for cancellation and refund fees for all bookings.

Therefore, cancellation requests are handled on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration:

  • Time of cancellation.
  • Services that have been booked.
  • Services that have been provided.
  • Costs incurred or committed to by the company.
  • Non-refundable third-party costs.
  • The possibility of reusing or rescheduling services.

Upon receiving a cancellation request, the company will clarify the available financial or operational options to the traveler based on the actual situation.

10. Cancellation or Change of Flights

Flights may be canceled, delayed, or rescheduled for reasons beyond the company's control.

If this occurs, Memorable Socotra Tours will work with the traveler, wherever possible, to reschedule the trip or program.

As for the value of the flight ticket and its change or cancellation fees, these are subject to the terms of the airline and the entity that issued the ticket.

If additional costs are incurred to rearrange the trip, visa, or services due to a flight change, the traveler may bear these costs when they result from fees or expenses that the company cannot recover from the concerned parties.

11. Trip Program and Reordering

The published trip program outlines the basic planned experience, but it does not guarantee that the order of each day or activity will remain exactly identical to the original plan.

The following may be changed:

  • Order of days.
  • Timing of activities.
  • Trip route.
  • Camping location.
  • Order of site visits.
  • Certain activities or sites.

When necessary due to weather, sea conditions, roads, flights, safety, local instructions, or operational circumstances.

When making a change, the company strives to maintain the essence of the trip experience and provide a suitable alternative when possible.

Changing the program order is not considered a trip cancellation in itself.

12. Weather and Sea Conditions

Socotra is a natural and remote destination, and weather and sea conditions may affect certain activities.

A marine or land activity may be postponed, changed, or canceled when conditions are unsuitable or when the trip team determines that its execution may pose an inappropriate risk.

The safety of travelers and the team is the priority when making such decisions.

13. Force Majeure

The trip may encounter circumstances beyond the company's reasonable control.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Severe weather or marine conditions.
  • Natural disasters.
  • Closure of airports, roads, or areas.
  • Government restrictions or decisions.
  • Disturbances or security events.
  • Transportation disruptions.
  • Cancellation or change of flights.
  • Permit-related restrictions.
  • Conflicts or civil disturbances.
  • Any other exceptional circumstances beyond the company's reasonable control.

In such cases, the priority is the safety of travelers and the team.

Memorable Socotra Tours will, wherever reasonably possible:

  • Reschedule the trip.
  • Change the program order.
  • Provide a suitable alternative program.
  • Replace an activity or site with a suitable alternative.
  • Refund amounts that the company has actually been able to recover from suppliers, wherever possible.

If the trip or part of it becomes unfeasible, the situation will be evaluated based on actual circumstances, services provided, incurred costs, refundable amounts, and rescheduling possibilities.

Force majeure does not automatically create a right to a full refund of the trip value or specific compensation.

The company is not liable for third-party costs that have already been paid and cannot be recovered, including certain flight, visa, permit, or other service costs, unless there is a different agreement or applicable legal obligation.

14. Health and Physical Fitness

Socotra trips may include:

  • Long-distance hiking.
  • Unpaved terrain.
  • Mountainous areas.
  • Caves.
  • Beaches.
  • Boat travel.
  • Camping.
  • Long-distance driving.
  • Areas far from medical services.

The traveler is responsible for assessing their ability to participate in the trip.

Travelers with health conditions or specific physical requirements should seek appropriate medical advice before traveling.

The company must also be informed in advance of any special needs that may affect trip arrangements.

15. Safety

Travelers must follow the safety instructions of the guides and team members.

A traveler may be prevented from participating in a specific activity when the team determines that their participation may pose a risk to themselves or others.

The company reserves the right to modify or stop an activity when conditions are unsuitable.

16. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend obtaining appropriate travel insurance before the trip.

The traveler should verify that the insurance policy covers:

  • Medical treatment.
  • Emergency medical evacuation.
  • Trip cancellation.
  • Trip interruption.
  • Travel delay.
  • Loss of baggage.
  • Flight-related circumstances.
  • Activities the traveler participates in.

It is especially important to ensure that the insurance company covers Yemen, Socotra, and trip-related activities, as some insurance policies may impose restrictions on destinations or activities.

Insurance is between the traveler and the insurance company, and the company is not responsible for the acceptance or rejection of an insurance claim.

17. Minors

Minors may participate in trips provided they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian responsible for them.

The parent or guardian is responsible for supervising the minor and making decisions on their behalf during the trip.

18. Conduct & Respect for the Environment and Community

All travelers must:

  • Respect local laws and regulations.
  • Respect local communities.
  • Respect guides and workers.
  • Comply with protected area instructions.
  • Not harm wildlife or plants.
  • Not leave waste in nature.
  • Not engage in any illegal activity.

The company may take appropriate action if a traveler's behavior threatens their safety or the safety of others, or substantially disrupts the trip.

19. Dietary Needs and Special Requests

The company must be informed in advance of any:

  • Food allergies.
  • Special dietary systems.
  • Health needs.
  • Personal requirements that may affect the trip.

The company will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special requests, but the availability of certain products or options may be limited due to the nature and location of the island.

20. Complaints and Feedback

If a traveler encounters a problem during the trip, we request that they inform the guide or Memorable Socotra Tours team as soon as possible.

This allows the company the opportunity to address the problem during the trip when possible.

Any complaint or feedback can also be sent after the trip to: [email protected]

We will review the complaint and attempt to handle it appropriately according to the nature of the case and services provided.

21. Photos and Videos

Photos and videos may be taken during trips to document the experience.

A traveler's appearance in a photo or video does not automatically grant the company unlimited consent to use their image in marketing materials.

When the company wishes to use content featuring the traveler for marketing purposes, it will be handled according to appropriate consent and prevailing circumstances.

22. Service Providers and Third Parties

Some services may rely on independent parties, including:

  • Airlines.
  • Transportation providers.
  • Boats.
  • Local guides.
  • Accommodation providers.
  • Government entities.
  • Visa or permit service providers.

Services provided by these parties are subject to their own terms and procedures.

The company strives to coordinate with reliable service providers, but it does not control the operational decisions made by independent entities.

23. Limits of Liability

Memorable Socotra Tours makes reasonable efforts to execute the agreed-upon trips and services.

However, trips may be affected by factors beyond the company's reasonable control, including flights, weather, sea, roads, government decisions, security, and operational circumstances.

These terms do not exclude any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

24. Intellectual Property

All texts, designs, logos, visual elements, and original content published on the Memorable Socotra Tours website are owned by the company or used with appropriate permission, unless otherwise stated.

Content may not be copied or republished for commercial purposes without prior consent.

25. Updates to These Terms

The company may update these terms from time to time to keep pace with changes in services, workflow, or legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on the website with the last updated date.
